Pronounced BIGH-NEAR, BIN(EAR) is a portable music synthesiser and sound player that produces binaural beats on the go. The goal of this project was to design a device that creates functional sound to aid people with ADHD in enhancing focus and concentration, and to integrate better practices and structure into deep work sessions.

While Binaural Beats have been shown to have a positive impact on attention and focus in those with ADHD, there is a lack of accessible tools that allow individuals with little to no knowledge of music production to create their own custom binaural beats in a way that appeals to users with ADHD.

The goal was to create a non-digital tool that could support a structured, immersive work environment without adding to screen fatigue. Inspired by the science of binaural beats, the challenge was to design a tangible, intuitive device that enhances productivity while remaining simple, engaging, and free from the overwhelming nature of modern technology.
